Ms. Alka Balram Kshatriya is a Member of the Parliament of India representing Gujarat in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament.
She is actively associated with various activities rendering social services towards upliftment of women, especially economically and socially backward women under the organization of Shri Laxmi Mahila Sahakari Bank Limited; has been running Vocational Education Centre for Women wherein great emphasis is laid upon overall growth and personality development of women preparing them to be self-earning individuals; has been making all round efforts for spreading literacy amongst the downtrodden children with the objective of providing better education for building their career under the banner of Lioness Club, Mahesana; also involved in various social activities such as blood donation camps, literacy drives especially in rural areas in and around District Mahesana.
