On 24/10/1992, Ramaswamy was driving Quilion Express (train no. 6105).
When train reached near Maruvathur Peria odai Bridge he noticed something on the track. They saw some Boulders placed on the track which were covered with green leaves. The rail was bent upwards and gravel stone and the sleeper broken and dislocated. On information Hyder Ali, Sub inspector of Police Railway, Vridhachalam rushed to the place of occurrence and case was being filed against unknown persons under Sec 150 of the Indian Railway Act and under Sec 3 and under Sec 5 of the Explosive Act and Sec 120-B and Sec 124 of the IPC.
On his search, 5 gelatin sticks concealed in his right side waist, 5 electric detonators concealed in his left side waist and 2 pen torch cells from pocket were recovered. The report alleged charges against TADA…read more
