Ms. Aishwarya Bhati, Chair, INBA, Women Legal Aid Committee
Ms. Aishwarya Bhati is appointed as one of the Additional Solicitor Generals (ASG) of India for the Supreme Court. Ms Bhati was the first woman advocate from Jodhpur who has been designated as the Senior Advocate by the Supreme Court of India in March 2019. Supreme Court of India has only designated 12 women lawyers as Senior Advocates since Independence and Aishwarya is the youngest women to be designated. She was Advocate on Record of the Supreme Court of India from 2006 till her designation as a Senior Advocate, Ms Bhati was Additional Advocate General for State of U.P. in Supreme Court since July 2017 and Standing Counsel for the High Court of Delhi in Supreme Court since May, 2018. Ms Bhati is a Panel Lawyer of Supreme Court Legal Services Committee (SCLSC), Supreme Court Middle Income Group Legal Aid Society (MIG) and Amicus Curiae.
